A power supply for the hobby laboratory

This circuit shows a simple power supply with adjustable output voltage and current limiting, which is well suited for the hobby lab. Such a device afforded me many years ago, when laboratory power supplies were still really expensive, good duty.

Completely correct Karl-Heinz (DL6HAH) recently had the objection that it would be better to insert the ammeter directly into the emitter line of the 2N3055. By this the voltage drop at the measuring instrument is compensated by the control.
