A classic vibrato effect device with transistors

Also very popular among the vintage effects is the vibrato. Here a periodic increase and decrease of the volume is achieved. For reasons of impedance matching, this is accompanied by a regularly recurring change in the sound, especially in simple circuits such as this one, which furthermore is in sound character also heavily affected by the guitar and amplifier model used. As a result, there is also a slight phasing effect. This is probably the main reason why many musicians rate these simple effects as better than many more complex devices.
